The Golden Dome

Big Daddy

This is the USS Alabama in Mobile. It sits directly on the bay and is a big tourist spot. The ship was commissioned in 1942 and retired in 1947 after serving in numerous battles during WWII. The ship was moved to Mobile Bay in 1964 and opened as a museum.

Sunset on the woods

This shot was taken at the end of a rainy day in Dallas, Georgia. The cloud cover had gone from completely gray solid cloud cover, to the broken closely fit look seen here. It was beautiful day.

Old V. New

This was taken as I was turning the corner and seeing the new RSA Tower in Mobile, Alabama. This tower stands as new commerce for the city and a beacon for future hope. It stands over 700 ft in the air. It's the tallest building on the Gulf Coast between New Orleans and Tampa.

This photo was taken in Mobile, Alabama in front of the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception. It sits in a small flower bed on the side of a beautiful small square. The square is used for farmer's markets and families year round.

Good Choice

There were very few decent flowers for this little guy to test out that day. But he managed to find one of the last and I'm glad he did. He almost made it easy for me on this day. Not too easy, however, he's still a butterfly. There will be another shot of him in a later post. He gave me a few good ones.
